I'm wondering what the connection was? Read that the Fire Knives operating out of Tilverton had connections to Moander, and there's a Moander shrine/temple in the sewers.

IIRC the Moander/Fire Knives connection originates from the Azure Bonds novel/pc game/adventure module. You should try to look in that direction a bit more and you will find what I am hinting at.
