Hello everybody, how are you all today?
I was just wondering how you get into that chest in the basement of the Duchal Palace, because, by all accounts there is some rather nice stuff in there but it is one of those awkward type chests which you cant pick the lock of, you know, the warded variety.
These must be some way in or else how would people know what was in it, so I would be grateful if someone on here who's managed it could fill me in.

My understanding is that ToSC patch 5512 made that chest lock pickable again, but the original contents were replaced with other stuff. According to Dudlyeville that chest contains: Large Shield +1, Arrows +1 (50), Arrows of Dispelling (10), Arrows of Ice (10), King's Tears, Diamond (4), Emerald, 9560gp. Still, a very nice haul.
I've played a FT before who burglarized the Duchal Palace and Entar Silvershield's estate and it was pretty fun, actually. It's possible to do both and avoid detection. |

I don't remember. I think there are some that just can't be opened for some reason. |
