As much as I love the FR Atlas (bought it brand new, recently using it a lot) the visual style doesn't look as impressive to me as the new edition maps. Is there any way to change the look of icons, geographical features or fonts without having to go through every map? Thanks.

I dunno. Try the profantasy mailing list. There was some very friendly, very skilled folks there, back in the day when I lurked around there.
