Hey, I just started playing this game with a friend of mine today, we started out as a Necromancer (Him) and Monk (me)but that combination wasnt so hot... So then we tried Barbarian (Him) and Cleric (Me)and it was really good. Flame Strike was awesome! Anyways, I was wondering if any of you have endulged in this game, and what your combinations or favored classes are?

Drizzt and Entreri make an awesome team. I can't believe how much better they made Drizzt in this game. He looks alot better, and he actually has an intricate fighting combo with his scimitars, rather than that awkward and ugly combo in Dark Alliance 1. Artemis is awesome too. While Drizzt is distracting the enemies, Artemis can use his stealth to sneak behind and get a good Arterial Strike on them. I don't like how they made his dagger, but Charon's Claw looks pretty rad.

I still want to go back and play as Drizzt and Artemis Entreri and see how far we can get with the two of them

My brother and I played as a Barbarian and Cleric (respectively) team, and finished last night - it went quite well. We're just starting out as a Necromancer/Monk team now, but have only got about ten minutes into the game so far, so don't know how that'll go yet!

I played with a Barbarian with a Necro with me. I was duel wielding two handed swords, and was dishing out approximated between 150 and 300 damage per hit. Criticals were rising as near as 500. Combat reflexes were at 12 although i think they maxed at 12, and with some jets in your weapons and armour, there is no problem with AC. Necro's haste, my barbarian rage, 10 combat reflexes, barkskin and my resist elements, i was near untouchable. Great game, loved it

Don't feel bad. Others have made the same type of mistake. Feel free to email the moderator and let him know that this scroll needs to be moved.

My take on the characters:

The barbarian can really dish out the damage, but gets hit like crazy without a shield. This means that Hero's Arm, one of his best feats, isn't that great.

The cleric is a great all-around character. She's good in melee, and can heal herself with magic. Her summoned sword is good early on, but becomes less useful later. She definitely needs combat reflexes when she can get it.

The monk is an awesome character for a solo game. She's really fast and does a ton of damage with her fists. In fact, early on she does more damage that any other character.

The rogue isn't so hot in a solo game, but he's good in a two-player with the cleric or barbarian to keep monsters off him.

The necromancer is IMHO the most powerful character by the end of the game. I usually build up Melf's Acid Arrow, Flame Arrow, and Life Drain early on. Once you get Shadow Spray, he's like a lawnmower compared to the other characters. And just when the skeleton becomes too weak, you get the shadow.

In a two-player game, only the cleric and barbarian can play the tank. Because of her "buffs" and healing, I prefer the cleric for this role. The rogue's trap disarming ability is cool; but if it's firepower you're looking for, go with the necromancer.

Err... I really think this scroll belongs on the Software shelf.

Alaundo, if you're not to busy sorting through the mess on your desk over at Worlds, could you perhaps take the time to move this scroll to it's more appropriate section?
