Posted - 06 Nov 2002 : 19:42:54 You could start out as the situation is now, with yearly add-ons. You could choose to play as either a country, a god, or a faction. Add a multiplayer option, and you're good to go! |

Posted - 05 Nov 2002 : 05:56:19 Wow! I'm not the only one who plays Civilization! I think that would be an interesting idea for a game, but what guidelines would one have to follow to make it fit in the Realms In Civilization, you play a civilization (Romans, Aztecs, etc.) without following the course of history, but in this idea would you follow what actually happened in the Realms or make up history yourself And would the map be randomly generated like in Civilization or actually a map of the Realms |

Posted - 04 Nov 2002 : 23:13:32 The player could control the interests of different gods (ie: good or evil, focus on battle, magic, invention, crops, etc., peaceful or warlike) and also focus upon specific races. At the same time, try and build cities and temples and such, establish trade routes to increase wealth or information, or armies to conquer others, etc.
Is that kind of what you're suggesting? Would be interesting to not only have a game like that, but make it so that characters/items/events that you build/find in other FR games could be imported into the Realms-encompassing game. And, of course, a multiplayer option to pit you head to head against other players. Depending on how such a game was made, it would be interesting if the "battle" engine mixed aspects of games such as War Craft and Star Craft with battle between individual characters. A game like that would be massive and take tons of time to play through... but isn't that the idea? |
