Came across what looks like a great kickstarter project. Roll20 has already been fully funded and in open beta, it's a browser based interface for tabletop rpg gaming. Anyone who remembers open rpg will know that when that worked it was great (you could happily play a pnp game session online). Just a pity it had so many problems. Roll20 seems to have solved most of those issues with no messing about with proxies or such. It also has some nice quick features where the GM can simply search for artwork tokens within the application and then drag them directly to the tabletop for players to see, same goes for maps, ingame notes etc etc.

So far the only real issue is the small amount of folk who either seem to know about or are using it and so finding a game can be tricky. But ideal for folks who have either moved away from their hometown and don't have a gaming group or visa versa.

I've been tracking this project as well and I think it has amazing potential to revolutionize the PnP game. I don't think I can join you in this session. But I would recommend posting info about this on the General Chat forums. This should fall into that category and more people will see it.

Just wondering if there's anyone in the GMT timezone who would want to do a AD&D 2e game to get a feel for how it works and so on?

This looks interesting. Thanks, Rich.
