Posted - 06 Aug 2009 : 03:43:29 I'm having fun since I retired play Pool of Radiance and Curse of the Azure Bonds on my Mac g3. Now I have a Mac G4... more capable machine but still great fun and capable of doing the old games.
Somebody here once volunteered to help me decompile and correct the Errors in Pool of Radiance. If he hasn't succumbed to a glorious battle death, I wonder if I could take him up on the offer now...
Are the games in Pascal or what? Can be decompiled? (I note that Simeon Pilgrim is playing with Curse of the Azure Bonds... making it work on OS 10.) He says they're compiled and not optimised. I'm not sure why, when it works fine on OS 9.2.2, but I dig the effort.
I do wonder if there's a copyright issue?
And last, does anyone know if a Paladin remains protected by a Protection from Evil Spell, if he's dual-classed and not yet trained up enough to regain his Paladin Powers? |
