I was just wondering if there is any mod or other wonderful programming out there that lets me have more than 5 npc companions with me in Baldur's gate 2. There are so many fantastic characters that it sucks that I can have so few with me at any given time.

Good to have multiple people in NWN also, yes.

Very true.

I've heard testominy from people who've used "cheat codes" in NWN2 to allow more than three additional characters in the party, but once again I imagine that such a large party would become rather difficult to manage.

It wouldn't necessarily let you see every little bit of dialogue either, because of how the dialogs get scripted.

Yup. I love that command, since it enables me to have Gann, Safiya, Okku and Kaelyn in the part at the same time.

I'm pretty sure that, in NWN at least, you could theoretically have an unlimited number of companions (there was a joke about "a thousand Deekins!"). It's just not advisable because it'll almost certainly crash your game.

Well, I have. I've never sought to use such a module though (I misspoke before--I meant modules, not cheat codes).

5 characters with the PC beats most RPGs. Almost everything from Japan has two or three and everything Bioware has released lately has two as well. More reason to why I think the Goldbox and the Infinity engine games were ahead of their time.

oh bugger.

I never heard of it, but if only for the extra story arcs, more conversations, etc... that would be awesome!!!

I *think* there is, but I could be wrong and in any case wouldn't know the name of such a module. I would search around.

Also, be careful what you wish for. You may find that having more than 6 party members in that game is difficult to manage.
