I have an idea
I am looking for the scribe( with say a minimum of 50 posts, is that a fair # to assure a loyal scribe?) who has the longest delay in having access to new release Realms Novels.
I suppose for this "idea" you would need to read and enjoy your novels in english, and please reply by shall we say Sep 12th 1:00 GMT.(I think that works out to 8pm EST Sep 11th)

Hmmm "Road of the Patriarch" will be released by amazon germany at 12. Oktober :-)
But the release date in the USA will be the 24.Oktober?
Hmmm good for us; we`ll see.

Here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Chapters are pretty good. Coles are slow. New release novels and FR products come failry quickly (usually only a week delay), but sometimes we get a month of delay on some products. Salvatore is usually on time (i think that was late one year though, can't remember) |

Chosen of Moradin, unfortunately for you you seem to suffer the longest delay in ability to aqquire novels. I have read some of the older Book Club Scrolls and noticed your laments at not being able to participate form the start.

The Thousand Orcs arrived 1 week before the release in the USA.
But that was a exception.
I have to look at the Dragonclaw store in Hamburg or at Amazon. The normal release is the release day like in the USA.

lol i live in a tiny ass town in northern minnesota....so i dont get new books....i have to go slightly south to get any new books |

It used to be that way. But the last visit to a particular bookstore, I found books which had only released a few weeks to a month before. Here's hoping that the trend continues, for that particular bookstore at least. |

Wow, 5 to 6 months is a long time to wait. Is that how long you would expect before Darkvision or Lies of Light when they come out?
Im still interested to know how long anyone else has to wait. |

I live in Malaysia (relatively small nation in Asia, though quite developed) and the "delay" time can vary greatly. Some times it averages about 5-6 months, with some books even taking longer. But recently I found some books which were a few weeks, perhaps a month back. But 5-6 months is a long time |

For me, here in Australia, I usually receive my FR novels about a fortnight or so after their initial release in the US.

I live in a city of 46,000 people on the Canada/America border and there isn't one store (including a Coles [retail book store] and a comic shop) that sells any type of RPG anymore...and the Coles only supplies the Greenwood and RAS novels...so I have to eithor drive an hour and a bit to Ottawa to buy my books (so add gas $) or order out (and eithor pay shipping $ or wait two months)

I consider myself very fortunate. Both the Walden Books and Barnes and Noble in my town get the realms novels (and sourcebooks) as soon as they are released. |

The only decent bookstore in my area doesn't get new Realms novels in until at least 2 weeks after everyone else... Luckily, my FLGS seems to be one of the first places to get in the new sourcebooks. |

Overseas people usually have the longest delay. As for in America, I tend to get them an week or so later then the rest of the country. :( |

I guess for my thoughts I mean, being able to go to your bookstore and get a copy physically in your hands after its release. (it seems I have heard several scribe with a "delay" from a novels release to when it shows up and is available to them. |
