I must say I am very glad James Davis tipped us off to this little gem of a story, I would not have found it on my own.

In case any reading this scroll has not read it and would like to here is the link, from James courtesy of O-Love :

Now, possible spoilers ahead!

As much as I enjoyed Bloodwalk, I enjoyed this short story at least as well. I love getting more background on stories I have enjoyed, and this is a great look back at what laid the foundation for Bloodwalk.

As someone who had only experienced the realms through novels(not read any source books yet or done any gaming at all), Bloodwalk and Bloodlines were my first encounter with celestial beings, while the Asamiir(sp?) in bloodwalk was very cool, but the Ghaele Celestial Hunter, Lethhuriel(an eladrin) was facinating. Tirenan was an interesting character as well, for a human

I just started to re-read this to pull out any information I missed a few weeks ago.

I was wondering when Tirenan "checks his scimitar and remebers the hands who blessed it", who did bless it? Was it his wife he left or was it Leth or???

Game stats would equal a +4 Holy Greatsword, though it may have one or two unique qualities should I get the chance to expand her character more in a longer work...that is if she even exists! (cue the Twilight Zone music for Tirenan...)

Thanks for the info, all my realms knowledge is from the novels as I have never gamed. I am guessing for someone of normal strength a great sword is A two-handed weapon, but Leth obviouly has great strength.

Thank y.....ewwww, whats that smell? Oh gross I just stepped in.....is that a NDA?
I thought I smelled something funny, but Hrast this is Intolerable. Now who tossed one out here of all places?

Ahem...In all seriousness I hope that you are able to announce something here at Candlekeep in the very near future! I would certainly prefer to hear more of Leth as I find Celestials facinating.

Good Luck and Good writing to you Sir!

You describe Leth's weapon as the heavy blade at her side and a blade of incandescent light. Could you please enlighten me as to its nature and qualites.

That would be Kaeless, his wife and Morgynn's mother. In the initial idea Kaeless had a much larger role, but, alas, length was a consideration for the webstory. Things get cut, bits change here and there, etc.

As for celestials (and outsiders in general), they along with fey and undead creatures are my favorites to write about.

Best,

Thanks!
Somehow I missed that, but when I re-read it I did see you had that in there. If I had caught it!
