I am just finishing up the Erevis Cale trilogy (100 pages to go).

Paul - thanks for more great Realms characters - the group of Cale, Jak, Magadon and Riven should be fun for some time (assuming one doesn't die before this last book ends - please no spoilers!!)

The listing below includes all of the published Realms fiction I have read involving Erevis Cale:

Dragon #277 - "Another Name for Dawn"
Dragon #297 - "And All the Sinners Saints"
The Halls of Stormweather : Sembia series, Book 1
Shadow's Witness : Sembia series, Book 2
Twilight Falling : The Erevis Cale Trilogy, Book I
Dawn of Night : The Erevis Cale Trilogy, Book II
Midnight's Mask : The Erevis Cale Trilogy, Book III

Are there any other short stories or novels involving Cale and/or his companions?

You can find out on the next book by making up a name for a cover artist...
The Sage Posted - 20 May 2006 : 01:06:15
I'd thought that initially... but I've noticed that a couple have had Mark Zug listed ever since the cover of Shadowbred had been revealed.

Most of the websites featuring information on Shadowbred are now saying Zug as well.

I also vote for Mark Zug. Compare the cover to the ones of the Rogues...
The Sage Posted - 18 May 2006 : 01:25:11
Actually, last I'd heard was that it was Mark Zug.

The artist is Raymond Swanland isn't it? Great work on the Fighters series and I'm excited to see his painting the Twilight War.

I love !!

Hmmm..the cover looks fairly impressive, if not vertically. The little introduction for the twilight war book 1 did allowed a vague image of where the war is going to be fought.

Thank you, Jhoebryn. That is very nice to hear.

Thanks, Jhoebryn. Finish those final 100 pages yet?

You've hit on almost all the Cale stories that I've written. My story in "Realms of Dragons," entitled "Soulbound," doesn't feature Cale and Co. directly, but does touch on Kesson Rel and give some hints about how the relationship between he and Cale and Riven may unfold. This will be explored more fully in the upcoming "Shadowbred," book one of the Twilight War.

I hope that helps.

Paul

And for those without access to DRAGON #297... this particular short story is available freely over at WotC:- http://shadow.wizards.com/default.asp?x=books/fr/allsinnersaints

Well met

I'll let Paul respond to thy comments himself, Jhoebyrn, but just wanted to recommend reading the rest of the Sembia series. Whilst Cale isn't in all of the novels, it does give the overall feel of Cale's role and involvement with the Uskevren's so much more depth and the books remain extrememly high on my favorite FR novels list
