Posted - 16 Mar 2006 : 21:49:20 Amazon.com has listed something they are calling War of the Spider Queen Gift Set II:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0786943076/qid=1142545422/sr=1-24/ref=sr_1_24/002-1079344-8997603?s=books&v=glance&n=283155
It is listed as a hardcover but only $20. There also is no listing for Gift Set I. I wonder if this is a boxed set of the paperbacks? |

Posted - 17 Mar 2006 : 16:20:17 It's true Alaundo, amazon does some wacky things when it comes to listing items that have yet to be released. However what you say about WotC holds even truer and more annoying than anything. The Forgotten Realms Library pages both here and at o-love.net are kept up to date soo much better than WotC. Just a quick example, Farthest Reach came out July 2005, the WotC book search page still has n/a as to the author, item code, page count and price!!!!! and that is a trilogy for which the author is the same!!!! If I were a writer for wizards I would be pretty angry if my book(s) were that unattended to. Especially since newer readers may not know of the wonders of the Candlekeep community and would be turning to WotC as their only source for looking up and seeking out new material to read. If only they would pay as much attention to their FR/D&D pages as much as they did their magic the gathering page!!!!There, I feel better now that i vented |

It goes without saying that there will be a set of the first three tomes. I wouldn't expect any logical method to appearance of material on Amazon's catalog 'tis a shame we read about upcoming material from other sources such as this, rather than directly from WotC. |

Posted - 17 Mar 2006 : 08:10:52 It has to be the last three paperback books, because Amazon lists Lisa Smedman, Philip Athans, and Paul S. Kemp as authors |

Posted - 16 Mar 2006 : 22:29:08 hmmm, did they ever make a gift box for the first three novels? if they did i assume its the mass market paperback versions of the last three in a collectable box. i couldn't imagine it being the whole series for only 20 bucks. |
