Apologies if this has been asked before, but is there a particular order in which these 4 books should be read?? The impression i got was that RofS was published before the sorcerer, thus should it be read before the final book??

I remember very little from all four books. Concerning the anthology, I have vague images that flash in my head, then disappear. I recall the Melagaunt story, a story involving kenku... Anthologies are a mixed bag.

Overall, I wasn't impressed with how Shade was introduced.

At least you can remember something about it-I remember a story about Melegaunt the prince, a story about Entreri, and a story about Tilverton.

EDIT: Oh, and the Melegaunt story had something flying in it!

The anthology doesn't really have anything to do with the characters in the trilogy from what I remember so if I were you I would read that last. So, go with them in order, followed by Realms of Shadow last.

EDIT: Wooly beat me to it. I would say read the anthology after the trilogy so you have a better idea of how shadow magic came about before reading it.

Return of the Archwizards is a trilogy, so you should read those books in the order published. Realms of Shadow is an anthology. I've only read the books once, but I don't recall it mattering if the trilogy was read first or the anthology.
