I just finished reading Whisper of Waves. As I thought about the book I truly liked it. The novel has none of the usual elements that I enjoy in a fantasy novel. Mr. Athans wrote a very intriguing novel and I am anxious to see what happens. I have read some of the book club responses and think that the book was well liked over all. Rather than getting caught up with a character (such as Arilyn Moonblade) or with a group of characters (such as Dorn and Company)I found myself interested in what was going to happen. The story was what captured my attention and not any of the characters... I am not sure this is making any sense. If you had to pick one thing that you liked most about the story, what would that be?

Aren't there already threads discussing this book? (Yes, those links all lead to different threads.)
