What should I read next?

I have read about 140 of the FR novels and am about to finish the Cormyr series. Which means its time to start a new trilogy...

So which book/set should I start next. If its not on the list I have read it (excecluding Murder in cormyr/halruua and some books that have not made it to paperback yet)

I Read two of the Cale novels so I already know a tid bit of what happens in book 7 Lord of Stormweather but do i have to read book 2 before book 4 and so on?

You don't HAVE to but it'd be a good idea. And they are basically in chronological order--even what happens in the short stories is important to the overall story arc.

I haven't decided on what I will do after Sembia Series but it will probally take me awhile to finish Death of the Dragon and get through 2-7 of Sembia anyways due to work and classes

I'll also vote for the Sembia series: Its finished; no waiting around for books to release, and its long; that's always a plus.
Oh yeah, its pretty good, too.

Welll, the Last Mythal trilogy's certainly fine and dandy if you don't mind flat characters, filler combat and absolutely obvious plot contrivances.

Seconded. I haven't found that series to be nearly as good as a lot of people are saying it is. It's way overhyped for what it is.

I voted Rogue Dragons, but there are only two books out so far. I like Richard Lee Byers as an author and find his books hard to put down. That said, you could do worse than to read Sembia next, though not all the books in that series were created equal.

I voted for the Last Mythal as well. I think it's an exciting book and really well done. But, we are all entitled to our own opinions. It might be better to stick with Sembia, though. The reason being is that the Last Mythal is not completed yet - so you'd have to wait for the third book.

I voted for Sembia. I think it's a must read for any Realms fan. I remember not expecting much and being thoroughly impressed when I finished the Series. It definitely ranks among my favorite Realms series.

Sembia series, and then the best FR-trilogy to have been written since Starlight & Shadows (which was finished, what, 2 or 3 years ago?) - The Scions of Arrabar.

I say the Last mythal trilogy first, for it would provide an exciting edge, that what I did. But the Threat of the Sea Trilogy is a worthwhile read as well, you may like to read it first before going for the Last mythal Trilogy, it isn't too bad..

Sembia series. I'd avoid the Last Mythal trilogy unless you're desperate to get an update on elven affairs.

Sembia series followed by the Year of Rogue Dragons series.

The series is just such a good series and there were so many things I've enjoyed about but one important aspect which catches my eyes is the entire continuity between each novels although they're done by different authors. There were some not-up-to-standard-novels (IMO) in the series but the series, entirely is the best FR series I've read.

Thanks for the suggestion, thats the one I was leaning toward. I read the first book, Halls of Stormweather and I own Lord of Stormweather (it was a gift thats why i don't have 2-6 yet).

The Sembia series. Of the choices you've listed, it's the series/trilogy that I've enjoyed the most. It gives you a nice little mix of characters in an intriguing setting with plenty of alternate themes and stories that all eventually work to weave one "complete" tale about the life of one family in Sembia.

It's the myriad efforts of all the writers... providing different persectives on the central characters... that makes the series work so well.
