Posted - 03 Dec 2002 : 22:08:14 So theres rumor of a "Shadowdale" product coming out some time in 2003. Its priced at $6.99 so it can only be a novel. More than likely it will be just a reprint of the old Shadowdale novel (Avatar Trilogy book 1).
It was only the other day that I was thinking wouldnt it be a good idea for WotC to produce an "Avatar Crisis" hardcover novel for Shadowdale, Tantras and Waterdeep, in much the same way as Legacy of the Drow etc. was done. Being as the Time of Troubles was such a major event, it would be nice to have it in a kind of "bible" format like that.
Anyway got any views or know anything about the new Shadowdale release? |

And ArionElenim, thanks for the link. I've read the thread and indeed it's always very weird to see how different certain characters can be visualised! But you can't stop it I think, for everyone is entitled to their own fantasy But I can certainly understand your criticism, for I share the same.

My now infamous post that criticizes stuff in the same vein:

Posted - 01 Mar 2003 : 18:50:37 I wanted to ask these questions myself, at least: What's there to expect about the re-releases of The Avatar Trilogy? It's known now that their releases will be in May (Shadowdale), June (Tantras) and July (Waterdeep) this year. And with every release there will be added about 20 pages to the original release. What do you think we can expect on these 20 pages?
The artwork on the covers look great, don't you think? It always bothered me that Midnight appeared to have brown hair on the covers of the paperbacks (not that there are any other formats, indeed) while she really has raven coloured hair. On the new covers (for what's to see of them) she has. |
