***SPOILER***

I got it yesterday for my birthday and I'm about half-way done with the book. This book is really good, even though there isn't as much fighting as I expected. The novel introduces a new character, who is the main villian in the novel a very powerful character that could even defeat a deva with just his mind. Dawn of Night also explains about the intentions of the slaadis and why they went through all that trouble to get to the Fane of Shadows. I recommend this book to everyone but if you haven't read Twilight Falling, you might find things a bit confusing.

Glad to hear you have a generous friend/relative. Once you are finished let us know what you think of the novel's conclusion either here or in this other thread.
