Just spoke to WOTC (And then Walden books) apparently Elminsters daughter has been delayed and theyve got no idea when we'll see it (If they take to long ED is going to end up in my Amazon basket along with Annihalation and Serpent Kingdoms)
The Good News is Paul Kemps Dawn of Night is in transit and should be here within 7-10 days |

Nah. We're the guys in front of the cars at stoplights, frantically wiping down the windshields in hopes of getting those half-lit bills.
Yeah, I noticed that day jobs were a common theme when reading various authors' bios in gaming fiction... and I've also noticed that those who do manage to work as freelance writers maintain schedules that must make a job with a forty hour work week look very appealing.

LOL! I surrender. I will not get in a verbal battle with a writer.
I look forward to hearing your opinions on the novel once you get your hands on it. |

Well, here's hoping y'all see the book soon. I know I'm still itching to get my hands on a copy (which has more to do with my finances than availability in stores).
Steven
You're messing with my belief that all current and past FR authors/ designers are driving around in new sports cars and lighting cigars with $100 dollar bills.

Steven Who also did a double-take on the topic, as he got this image of El's daughter hanging out with Dorothy and Ozma and Glinda in the Emerald City (so sue me for being a big OZ fan--the books, not the HBO thing) |

Well, I'm not particularly certain how accurate those facts are (), but the main library at my university already has a copy which is currently on the "reserved order" list. I'm second on that list, and so should have it in my arms very soon...

Posted - 01 Jun 2004 : 17:19:57 Now wait a minute. I chatted with Ed recently at Baycon about his last Oz tour (five weeks, man!), and he told me the publishers then told me that Oz law required publishers to bring out an Oz edition or import with a week of other English-language releases around the world, or there's no copyright protection. Something about Australia was REALLY tired of being an ignored "afterthought" (Ed's word) with publishers. So, has this changed? Could someone nudge Ed's Oz publishers? |

They're probably still trying to translate it.
That was gratuitous. Accurate, but gratuitous.

Noooooooooooooooooooo!!
I'm really struggling at the moment without this piece of literature - especially since everyone has nothing but good things to say about it. Dang.

Sorry to hear that for the Oz fans. What was their reason for the delay?

Guess I should forward them this link: http://www.koalanet.com.au/australian-slang.html
