I'm reading new novels and old ones simultaneously. And because i cannot read every FR book, i would like to know which new novels and series are the best?
Of course i read every novel by Elaine Cunningham and Ed Greenwood, but there are so many new authors, and sometimes it's very hard to choose what to read.

I really don't have much planned for new FR books out, except for the Rage by Richard Lee Byers which sounds interesting. What I'm really concentrating on is filling in the gaps of FR books that I haven't read previously.

I know. I usually don't have the time to finish a novel that fast.

Cant wait to get my hands on it myself.

Let me know when you get it as I'm very curious to hear what you think about some developments within the novel.

I hope its as atmospheric and gritty as book one!

Exactly, the way I'd describe this book, as good in those areas as the first one. Wait til you see where Vasen Coriver ends up in.

Having just finished the novel yesterday, let me add Paul Kemp's Dawn of Night (Book II in the Erevis Cale Trilogy) to the list of novels I'd recommend.

Seeing how well written this novel was made me very eager to see how Paul Kemp finishes the WOTSQ series next year.

RAS fans called her writing simple and bland? Oh boy.

Way to go Valondil!

I second that motion for Voronica Whitney-Robinson, Richard Lee Byers and Paul Kemp... Great "new" authors. Try the Sembia series too.

Of course i'am interested in psionics! But i really hate these vile bastards Yuan Ti.
I would certainly love a novel where yuan ti's are being killed in LARGE NUMBERS

You really can't go wrong in picking anything up recently.I say start with either Richard Lee Byers,or Paul Kemp,or Thomas Reid,or Lisa Smedman...ETC...ETC....

Yep, i also recommend Lisa Smedman. If your at least fairly interested in psionics, you should definitly grab her new novel Venom's TasteA good smooth writing style, combined with a really good
story ...

The story follows the protagonist, Arvin, a human Thief/Telepath dealing with people and powergroups that seem almost too much for him. The book is centered in Hlondet, a city ruled by Yuan Ti's

Definitly worth a look if you ask me.

Voronica Whitney-Robinson is also another of my 'new' FR favorites

I'd recommend the books from the War of the Spider Queen series if you haven't already started reading them. With each novel written by a different author, you might also be able to find someone you enjoy as much as Greenwood & Cunningham.

Grab anything you can by Lisa Smedman she is my absolute favorite 'new' author
