Just found this over at WotC!

Mentions of two new FR authors, picked from finalists of the "novel call" which was won by Kameron M Franklin (Maiden of Pain author).

States that Erik Scott de Bie will be writing Ghostwalker (Fighters Series, book 4) and James P. Davis will be writing Bloodwalk (Wizards series, book 3).

How about letting us know what book ONE is in Fighters?!

Players just not as passionate about the Realms as I am...or, for that matter, any supplement that has anything thought-provoking in it. Hmm...maybe a short description is in order...

1-Monstrous Player-Never, never plays a standard race, and quite frequently wants to play very exotic creatures.
2-Psionicist-Never plays a non-psionic character.
3-Just doesn't care-Just goes along with the flow. Other players do his characters for him and such...

Those are the real noticeables...

Ick, sorry to hear that. What's the problem with the groups? Shortage of $$$? Or just players not as passionate about the Realms as you are?

Yes, and I would have posted a good chunk of what is there, except that I don't have a copy at hand.

Thought so, but wasn't sure. Thank you. My copy has vanished into the room of one of my players. Granted it was her book, but hey....should let me know you are going to take back books I think I can reference at a moment's notice.

SiriusBlack Posted - 02 Apr 2004 : 05:36:51
Didn't they first appear in The Complete Book of Elves?

Tome and Blood, Races of Faerun, Complete Warrior...take your pick...

Bladesingers are elves who have blended art, swordplay, and arcane magic into a harmonious whole. In battle, a bladesinger's lithe movements and subtle tactics are beautiful, belying their deadly martial efficiency.

A note on game stats: Bladesingers are elven fighter/mages(generally). They gain various "songs" as they increase in bladesinger level; these songs are combat-related extraordinary abilities, that represent the various advances the bladesinger has made in their style.

You're starting to sound like a Faerun version of a National Enquirer reporter.

"A certain prominent somebody from the Purple Dragon nation was spotted canoodling with a a powerful and popular Northern mage. I don't want to give away too much, but my inside sources tell me they were seen inside several jewelry shops. I'm Murray Leeder and I'll be back next week with a new column reporting Britney's Waterdeep visit and the wild activities that went on behind some closed Festhall doors."

Dont worry, WotC have always been very slap-dash with informing fans of their products about upcoming releases and other such details. After all, new releases appear on numerous locations on the Web a good few months before the online WotC catalog lists them!

'Tis all a grand mystery... I wonder if WotC is shrouding the novel in secrecy to make it seem more interesting...
Darth KTrava Posted - 30 Mar 2004 : 01:43:18
Why? Is Book 1 such a secret that even the title cannot be mentioned? That's odd to mention the titles and authors of the 2-4th books but not the first.... ::puzzled::

My book, Son of Thunder, is Fighers 3. Fighters 2 is Master of Chains by Jess Lebow, and the first I know the title but not the author. I don't know if I should say it, but somebody else accurately came up with it a while back on some thread or another.

That's strange - Fighters and Wizards Series book 3 and 4 are announced, but nothing is said about books 1 and 2

I believe someone already mentioned that on the boards. Although I can't recall which thread, so I could be mistaken. Regardless, thanks for this information Rad.

It also sounds like theres going to be 2 "Realms of Dragons" books

"In September of 2005, Kameron, Erik, and James will join a select group of even more new authors in a second volume of the Realms of the Dragons anthology. This collection will showcase eleven authors who will be making their Forgotten Realms novel debuts in 2005 and beyond."
