I guess she got it from one of her unfortunate suitors but that is complete assumption on my part. |

Posted - 29 Jun 2014 : 04:06:11 The staff is named after Kozah, said to be an ancient god of lighting (Gauntlgrym); which was also an alias for Talos, god of storms, among the Bedine of Anauroch (Faiths and Avatars). This would seem to imply that it was forged, or at least subsequently enchanted, by a follower of one of the nature religions, and possibly a clergyman/cleric/member of the church of Talos/Kozah, himself.
In Neverwinter, Sylora Salm mentioned that Dahlia was the most proficient of all the users of Kozah's Needle that she had ever witnessed. This implies that Sylora had seen other users of the weapon, apparently before Dahlia acquired it. So apparently the staff had come into the possession of Thayans, at some point, before finally being handed down to Dahlia.
It is unclear whether Dahlia received the staff from a former lover/sexer, or if it was a gift from Szass Tam, himself. He was said to have gifted to her a necromantic magical brooch in Gauntlgrym, so it could've been yet another gift. |
