Posted - 20 Jun 2014 : 19:14:03 Can someone explain what exactly happened to Manshoon? There was a scene where he's sitting with Mirt and then he gets surrounded by Glathra, Vangy, and other War Wizards. Then near the end when Elminster goes all god like, we see what looks to be a completely seperate scene where Manshoon has blue flames bursting from his eyes.
Does he die? Was that a clone? Why was Manshoon being so low key in this novel when he was trying to take over Cormyr in the last couple? |

Lol. It was a reference to the "Who shot JR?" plot from a show called Dallas. Not sure if you knew that. Or was it Bobby Ewing's return?...lol
It was Bobby returning from the dead. |

Next year (2015) at about the same time of year, I believe. However, plans could change. Ed has almost finished the first draft of it right now - - and tells me it's a VERY different book from THE HERALD, so any reader who picks it up expecting "Battle For Myth Drannor Round 2" or "Srinshee Versus Larloch: The Rematch" or even "Telamont Tanthul: It Was All A Shower-Scene Dream" is going to be disappointed. To answer Caolin, Ed tells me he's written a lore look at how Manshoon is changing as a character, over time, that should be published eventually. love, THO
I'm looking forward to some normal old Realms novels. I understand what they were doing with the Sundering and all, but it still felt a bit rushed. But it's done, and we can now move forward and give the authors time to write their stories.....hopefully. :)
And I get the feeling that Manshoon is getting ready to take over the Zhentarim again and put them back on the map. ;) |

Hi. Ed tells me Manshoon doesn't die (and yes, that was a clone; they're ALL clones), and as for why he's being so low key, we'll find out more in Ed's next book. love, THO
What is the target date for the next book? |

Thanks THO! |
