Hello everyone, I can remember parts of a quote from a forgotten realms novel (maybe some book from the return of the archwizards, but it could be any other book, I have read most of the FR novels) and I can't seem to google it out.

The quote was said by some elf character, or maybe some other long-living race and it was something along the lines of this:

Humans are odd in that way, they believe they can keep their loved ones like dragons keep their hoards, locked safely away."

I can't remember which book was it or the exact quote and I had nowhere else to ask. If someone remembers it, that would be grand.
