Came across this little blurb about Byers' Sundering novel: The Reaver.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Reaver-Sundering-Book-IV/dp/0786964588

It relates some thematic elements and character names. Hearing about the little boy "Stedd" makes me immeasurably happy. I hope that we'll eventually find out more about the Lathander-Amaunator issue and see how that plays out in a time where people are desperate and scared with the world changing again. Exciting and fun! And who doesn't love undead pirates?

I like aboleths, but there are so many cool things on, under, and around the Sea of Fallen Stars that no one novel could incorporate them all. I had to select elements that would fit together to make what I hope is an entertaining, cohesive story.
As much as I love aboleth-inspired Realms tales, I am particularly intrigued by what other underwater creepies Mr. Byers will sprinkle through the telling of The Reaver.

as well at what could be "on" the Sea of Fallen Stars.....that caught my eye.

Sounds awesome! Can't wait to read it and hope that RLB can continue the Brotherhood of the Griffon asap!

And Richard shared this nugget in his Scroll :

I guess it's not excessively spoilerish to say that The Reaver does not focus on Xxiphu or the Abolethic Sovereignty.

I vaguely remember Stedd was one of the Chosen the Most High imprisoned in Shade. It is in the third excerpt of The Godborn, I think.

Stedd is also in The Adversary.
