Well I would say that I'd buy it. Two for me(one in the Kindle and hopefully one for the bookshelf complete with autors scibble ), one for my 85 year old Grandfather(who I just learned is a voracious fiction reader...how'd that old farmer keep that a secret form the family? We thought he just read the farmer's almanac and farm mags),one for my mother, one for my oldest Uncle, one for my cousin, one for my daughter, one for my son(they want their own books, not dad's!), one for the local library and even one to ship to a random deserving scribe at Candlekeep(10 copies sold sounds better to me than 9)
Who better(Ed has enough on his plate for the next decade or so) to tell a character drive, non-RSE novel of the forest kingdom than Brian (Garen Thal)? Set it in any time , but I think right after the sundering has settled down would be ideal. Let him have a blank palate going forward for his ideas. We know much of Cormyr...but much more than what's been told is still unknown.
What say you Scribes? WotC is listening like never before, now is the time for us to ask for something for "one of our own". He's far too humble to trumpet himself, so I will take up the task.
If you havent picked up When the Hero Comes Home Yet...You really should...it's only $3.99 for kindle and $2.99 ePub from Dragon Moon Press...There is not only Brian's wonderful tale One and Twenty Summers....there are Ed and Erik Scott de Bie tales as well. Those three stood out for me, but the whole anthology is worthy. |

Brian is my go-to guy when scripting anything Cormyr-related, whether it's dealing with the Fire Knives of Westgate, political maneuvering far from Suzail, or ancient lore. Also, having seen the Lineage, I guarantee this is the guy. 
He has my endorsement.

Brian Cortijo writing a 'Cormyr-based' novel would be the ideal dream for many fans of the Forest Kingdom.
I'll gladly support any initiative for Wizards to take heed and consider the potential for such a work.
And just as an added sweetener... I'd love to see the work being supported by further supplementary material from Brian, Ed, Krash, and the many other past Lorelords who have helped shape Cormyr over the last 25+ years.
I'd pay top gold coin for that kind of purchase. |

Of course I'd buy a novel by Brian.
I love Cormyr, and I enjoy Brian's writing, but even if that weren't the case, I still know he is a writer/designer who has the Realms best interest at heart.
Cormyr and the Dales is pretty-much my 'stomping grounds' when I run D&D. Anything and everything about that area I whole-heartedley support. Being written by Brian is just a guarantee I'll like it. |
