I have been a reader of realms fiction for sixteen years now and while I don't mind the direction that 4th edition has taken I would really like to see some materials that transition the setting for the long time devoted fans.

I think an anthology or even two (like Realms of Dragons)of short stories (or novellas) of some of the various character arcs that were just dropped with the development of the 4th edition changes would help alleviate some of the transition issues.

ie.

-Fall of Halruaa
-Spellplague and the Seven Sisters
-Underdark
-Cormyr and the War Wizards
-Any of ELaine cunninghams characters
-Maztica disappearing
-etc

What does everyone else think?

Agree 100% on all of those. I posted roughly the same idea in my reply on Erik's poll.

I would love to see it happen, but I would give it about a .001% chance with wotc current direction.

The consensus here would probably agree whole-heartedly on updates for all those listed and more. But, unless there's a change of policy at WotC, the most you might see is an update on DDI for some items.
