just received this today as im making my way through the fighters series.thought master of chains was decent given some of the bad reviews.anyway just wondered if anyone thought the same as me and thought the guy on the front of ghostwalker was a blatant rip off of sephiroth from final fantasy 7.

Actually the cover made me want to see more of the whole picture. It gives me the feeling that there is something more to see just out of the edges. But I suppose that IS what the artist was probably going for.

Erik has the right of it.

I didn't receive any kind of "Sephiroth-vibe" when I first looked at the cover of Ghostwalker. I simply interpreted it as the artistic representation of a character from the novel.

Interesting interpretation . . . though I would feign call it a "blatant ripoff." I think that a guy with long (and sometimes pale) hair and an at-least-slightly curved sword (or possibly two) is a fairly common image in fantasy.

Also, pretty sure Sephiroth didn't have a beard. Or a shirt.

Cheers

P.S. And for the record, I was *very* pleased with how this rendering turned out. I think it's an awesome cover and very true to the book.

I never thought that, but I guess you can see some resemblance.
