A nice read, not Mark Twain, but light fun reading. I liked the idea of a halfling being the Murderer, but was almost disappointed when the novel almost went out of it's way to make him part Duergar. THere was not enough pages spent to make it work, it was just like a last minute throw-in when Pryce/Darlinton Blade said , oh yeah I just asked the Mystran if there was a spell to detect Duergar heritage.
Over all, I like anything to do with Halruaa and would read anything set there! And the Idea of a city where the most powerful/wealthiest mages in Halruaa vacation could have been much more interesting, but no time was spent exploring the city.

Yeah I really enjoyed this book. They should do some more murder mystery novels in the realms (maybe they can turn Mystra's death into one......maybe not). Anyways it's a shame all of this ends up being blasted away by the spellplague.

If they did do more of these I would check them out for sure as they were fun, light reads.
