And are there any more books out there about this character? I loved him soo much and I want to read more about him. |

They are a large family, too. Even if half of them bite it during the Sellplague, there should still be enough of them around to carry on the family name.
Ah so they've been using those Elminster bunny pills someone else was talking about. |

Well... since the Harpells already have questionable sanity.. i'm going to assume they weren't affected.

"Without Mystra to govern the Weave, magic bursts its bonds all across Toril and the surrounding planes and runs wild. In Faerūn, this event is known as the Spellplague. Thousands of mages are driven insane or destroyed, and the very substance of the world becomes mutable beneath veils of azure fire that dance across the skies by night or by day." |

That's not entirely true, and it is dependent on just who you like.
are they really gonna have most mages go insane? |

Unfortuantely, with the 100 year jump, the Harpells are likely dead, but who knows... there was the werewolf one. And they're wizards.
I don't think the 100 year jump will kill off the family -- just the ones we know of. Unless their home blows up in one of the bursts of illogic that is being used to wipe the map clean in other areas, there will still be Harpells in the future.
unfortunately though the spellplague is Deus-Ex-Machina to kill off everyone we like. |

*shrugs* Every family library has its oddball.
That's more appropriate.
Hmmm... So who is the oddball in this library? |

Posted - 25 Jun 2008 : 02:52:32 There is, of course, always the possibility that RAS may include him in some future tale. |

Posted - 25 Jun 2008 : 02:41:48 It still makes me incredibly sad...I was hoping that there were more books about him or at least had him pop in or something! >.< *Sigh* |

I'm pretty sure RAS is the only person to use Harkle Harpell.
The only other Harpell to have any appearances elsewhere is Malchor Harpell, and he's not at all like the rest of the Harpell clan.
How come he's the only one to escape the Harpell madness then?

Posted - 24 Jun 2008 : 18:06:07 I can't remember if he was a minor character in anyone else's books, but RAS is the only author I know who has showcased him. |
