Anyone feeling flush and looking for a nice decorative piece?
The original art for Swords of Dragonfire is for sale on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170218482323
I was passed this information by a fellow scribe, so please note this is not associated with Candlekeep and enter the auction at your own risk. |

Anyhow, I still don't have that much money to spare.
No, look at the date. Big Al and the seller both started threads about it.
You'd prolly be surprised at some eBay sellers. I frequently see sellers listing the same item, over and over, for months, without dropping the price. At least one decided to add "New lower sale price!" to the auction title without actually lowering the price. I also often see sellers listing the same item as someone else for three times the price. Some sellers also claim stuff is rare or hard to find, even if it's something you can walk into any book store and find on the New Releases shelf. And then there are sellers who try only once to sell something at an inflated price, and then never relist it...
I once wanted to buy a magazine from someone who had a bunch of individual magazines up for sale at once. I missed the auction ending, so I contacted the guy. He was still willing to sell me the magazine -- but he wanted more than three times the original list price for it! He'd decided that since he didn't sell any of the mags, he was going to get all the profit he originally wanted off of one. I talked him down to twice the original price, then walked away when he said he'd rather trash the magazines than go any lower. This guy actually preferred to not get any money at all, rather than less than what he originally wanted. |

Well, I *did* plan on getting the new core books. In any case, $2500 is a lot of money to spend all at once on an object I don't desperately want (and have nowhere to put, besides). |

Lovely, but I don't have $2000+ just laying around. I'll have to pass.
are sure about that?
I could pay for the painting, but I'd rather save the money for use later on more important things.
