Deciding that I shouldn't be wasting anymore money, I want to ask what you guys would recommend in terms of the newest FR novels that just came out.
Any good suggestions? |

I only just started Neversfall (the only Citadel book out so far), and I haven't read enough to give you an opinion yet.
I did read the Orc King. It was a fine, standard Drizzt novel, but it is IMO marred by the included Spellplague hype (ie. prologue and epilogue) and the silly, politically correct Orc Kingdom premise.
Bladesinger was nothing to write home about.
You can read opinions about many of these books in the Book Club section of this forum. |

Posted - 21 Feb 2008 : 22:30:05 Well, I have to say that the Dungeon series was a bit disappointing to me. Of all the books in it, I only enjoyed one of them: The Howling Delve. I really didn't like The Depths of Madness even though I thought the main character, Fox-at-Twilight, was pretty interesting.
For me, the Fighter series was so-so. I've read two of the books in the series, Master of Chains and Son of Thunder. I liked the former but didn't care too much for the latter. However, I really looked forward to Bladesinger but sadly I couldn't find it anywhere in the bookstores in Canada.

Not telling us what your bad picks were makes it hard.
Ed Greenwood's Knights of Myth Drannor trilogy is turning out to be good.
The Haunted Lands is alright, but we only have book 1.
The Lady Pentant is good, but you need to have read War of the Sider Queen.
If you haven't read them, the Icewind Trilogy is good and always available in the book stores (Legend of Drizzt 4-6 now.)
