Posted - 19 Nov 2007 : 13:53:50 For anyone interested in winning a free, signed copy of my upcoming book Neversfall, number one in the Citadels Series, please read below!
Thanks to anyone who enters!
The questions for this contest all pertain to my first published short story "Freedom's Promise," which is in the Realms of the Dragons II anthology for the Forgotten Realms setting.
Contest Rules: Please send a private message to me here on Candlekeep (no emails please) with your answers to the four questions below (or as many of them as you can answer) by no later than 12pm noon (EST) on Monday November 26, 2007. Please only enter once. Give it a shot!
A grand prize winner will be randomly drawn from those who answer all five questions correctly (if more than one). The winner will be announced Tuesday November 27th. I will contact the winner and arrange for delivery of a free, signed copy of my upcoming book Neversfall.
Contest Questions: 1. Name the imp summoned by Aniolon Gruanthe. 2. Who is Ronatsinaderin? 3. Who edited Realms of the Dragons II? 4. List all the authors published in Realms of the Dragons II?
Note: This contest was originally posted in the Citadels Series thread but I thought it might be helpful for it to have a thread of its own. |

Posted - 27 Nov 2007 : 13:57:35 Thanks for this pleasant diversification Mr Gentry and I would participate in another round – if you ever feel compelled to do this again
Xysma, by the way, how did you manipulate the lottery? We will have 30 million Euros in the big box for tomorrow, and if you help me with the numbers, we could split the pocket money . |

Posted - 26 Nov 2007 : 20:58:51 Well, I'm sorry it didn't come in time, Wooly, but hey...you got a free book all the same!
I can actually announce the winner, chosen at random from all entrants, now. Thanks to everyone who entered!
*drumroll*
Congratulations Xysma! Please PM me with your address information and to whom I should address the autograph.
I am investigating what would be involved with an e-signing for anyone else who might be interested. I'll announce any details here.
Thanks again to everyone who entered the contest and to Candlekeep for hosting it. FR writers are lucky to have a community like this.
The book comes out tomorrow officially! I look forward to hearing the thoughts of any readers in the Book Club section Alaundo was kind enough to start! |

Posted - 26 Nov 2007 : 20:48:54 Unless the copy of RotDII that Ed was kind enough to send hit my mailbox today, I still don't get to enter this contest.
I guess I'll unsticky this thread in another day or so, since the contest is over... |

Short version: just about everything I owned was in a storage unit. The building was an older one, and it was struck by lightning. Without sprinklers, just about everything in there was lost. The jpg that is linked to, later in the thread, is the unit where I had 20 years worth of books, action figures, game stuff, and miscellaneous stuff. |

Wooly, I insist that you PM me your address so that I may mail you a free (signed if you like) copy of RotDII since you lost it. I have several copies and would be most gratified if you would allow me to do that. Perhaps we can even get it to you in time for you to enter this contest! I can get it in the mail today if you get me the info right away. |

Posted - 20 Nov 2007 : 18:22:01 Wooly had a rather large misfortune this past summer. My guess is that he's still working on replacing some of his items. |

Posted - 20 Nov 2007 : 18:16:03 Ergdusch, it's absolutely open to anyone! The more the merrier!
By the way...what does Ergdusch mean? It's a really interesting sounding word. |

Posted - 20 Nov 2007 : 14:44:20 Wow, gotta read it again............ where did I put it... *runs araound the room semi-panicked*..... Is this contest open for us in Europe as well, I wonder?! |

Posted - 19 Nov 2007 : 16:05:39 I did not read it either... Here in quebec there is not a lot of space for english books... At least not in a city like Sherbrooke, almost essencialy french. And i have to admit, that I mostly read them in french. Not that I can't undestand them as good as in english, there is no probleme on that side. It's more "available" here. |

Posted - 19 Nov 2007 : 16:03:04 I've not yet replaced the Realms of Dragons II, so I can't enter.
But I think I'll at least make this thread sticky until the 26th, for everyone else's benefit. |

'Tis been a while since I've read "Freedom's Promise" though. I suppose I could re-fresh my memory.

Oh, and thank you for ordering! |

Posted - 19 Nov 2007 : 14:07:25 Blast! I wish I hadn't missed your initial mention of the contest in the "Citadels Series" scroll. I just placed my order for this novel this morning when it became available on AUS catalogues.
Sorry Ed.
