I know that everyone enjoys pointing out the wrong stuff in RPG books, but I would like to congratulate the people that edit the FR RPG books.

I am in the process of making my own consolidated spell lists, grouping them by class and prestige class, level, and giving short descriptions as seen in most listings within the books. I am finding few, very few mistakes in the FR books, as opposed to the regular, core WOTC books.

I realize mistakes will happen, but sometimes it is just silly. Knight of the Chalice in Complete Warrior is a good example: endurance (bear's endurance I hope), resist elements (endure elements or resist energy?), Protection from Elements (very common mistake, is it Protection from Energy?), Holy Smite (?? Righteous Smite or Smite Heretic or something new ?)

As I said, we are only human, but the FR books have very few compared to the others, so I think the editors and writers deserve a pat on the back.

Thank You

I concur with my fellow scribes and also express my thanks.

Thank you, my fellow editors!

Since we don't know the circumstances -- how much time between MS and sending to press, how much came in at the last minute, bosses suddenly changing priorities, etc. -- we can't tell how well any given book has been content-edited, copy-edited and proofread. But I guarantee most of them are in way better shape than before the editors did their thing.

No more hackjobs like on Spellfire, though, hear?

And I extend my thanks, too, to all of you, good editors, that put your sweat to give us these amazing books!

Thank you.
