Posted - 30 Apr 2006 : 01:21:26 I love reading Ed's articles on the various aspects we haven't seen being discussed elsewhere. But the backflipping etc gets tedious.
Is there any chance that we'll see the compiled Realmslore articles in just one file? THAT would be a great help. |

That's funny, the number of pages was exactly the reason why this became the first web enhancement I printed out. I really don't like reading long texts on the computer-screen. |

Posted - 08 May 2006 : 04:36:09 True... but what I meant was... 'tis easier to reference the PDF copy rather than flicking through the print out and looking for a particular reference. It's not so much a big deal with the other WEs because they're all relatively small in terms of page numbers and easy to look through.
I likely will print it out at some point... but for now, I'll just reference to the PDF when looking for a particular tidbit. |

Well, it's not like printing it requires you to delete the PDF... |

I will admit... Though I didn't install the software, I did copy those pdfs to my external hard drive at work. And except for the most recent stuff, just about everything in my "Game Stuff" folder was also copied onto that drive.
Again, IT job + lenient boss = happy camper.
How lenient would he be if you started printing out that stuff?

I have printed out every Realms-related web enchancement (save for the recent CoS:W one), every volume of the Candlekeep Compendium, the Realms Bestiary, Volume 1 by Eric L. Boyd and Thomas M. Costa, the Prestige in the Realms article by Tom Costa, and a bunch of other stuff. Admittedly, I printed most of it when no one was around, but still... |

And wow! I just checked eBay... I'd no idea that the Archive was going for so much! I'm glad I got mine when I did...
It's a surprise isn't it? I was checking for a friend the other day -- for the complete DRAGON Archive -- when I came across the Ebay price.
In the end, I just told my friend... I'll lend you the DRAGON issues you want to read! |

While we are on the subject of the Realms, is there a way I can get all the back issues of Dragon and Dungeon on PDF?? I know there is an Archive for Dragon on CD, but I ain't got the loot.
I think Paizo offers pdfs of the magazines, but only the ones they've published. And it's not for free, so I'm afraid that may not help you.

Posted - 06 May 2006 : 17:41:08 I don't think so. Maybe Paizo will do that some time, if the demand is high enough. |

You could do that yourself... Just do what several of us already do: whenever there's something interesting on the site, copy and paste it to Word. Doing that, you could mix and match and create single files however you want: one file of all the Mintiper's Chapbooks, one file of all the Wyrms of the North, etc.
And the links to the files are all located in one place, if it helps: Realmslore Archive
Thanks Wooly, appreciate it...now to copy and paste... |

Heh. I always grab them as soon as I see them. I may not get to read them for a while, afterwards, but I grab the articles as soon as I can. Usually I find them either late at night or early in the morning... So I often take them to work and read them there. |

Posted - 30 Apr 2006 : 01:39:23 Perhaps. Though as is standard WotC practice, we likely won't see a compiled edition of Ed's REALMSLORE articles until they are finished -- in other words, until they reach a time when WotC decide not to published them online anymore.
