Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 13:32:59 The wards of the Silverymoon has a prevailing spell antipathy.
Is it always in effect ?
For example, can a drow enter in the city ? Or must I have a duraph token ?
What scrutiny the spellguard on the character that ask a duraph token after he explained at the seniore officier the reasons ?
What do the spellguard make exactly ?
Must he ask a second duphar token to access the vault of sages to the Keeper of Vault ?
Or can he have informations on the Mintiper's tales, poem and notes of the keeper without pass the Forehall ?
Thanks for your future help. |

So, the drow character must disguised and pass the antipathy with a success Will saving throws. What is the DC for the antipathy from the Wards ? (DC 18 ?)
He can see the informations on the Mintiper's tales, poem and notes of the keeper without pass the Forehall and ask a copy paying, no ?
I've given you my answer.... but if you want it to happen, then it happens. :) But to me, no drow would be really safe in Silverymoon, or in most other places on the surface for the matter. Drow are just really feared and hated. They are one of the boogie men of the Realms, basically.
I'd like to think that even disguised good drow would have some problems concealing the fact that they are drow... it just seems to be too much of an easy way around the issue.
Drow, evil drow moreso, carry the stigma that makes them a target for lawful groups and this is true almost anywhere on the surface where lawful and/or good power reign.

Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 19:53:24 yeah i was about to suggest that the drow would probably not even risk it... he would just send minions or charm people or use chain of eyes spell on ppl or arcane eye maybe idk but he could slip past.

Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 19:08:56 SR check is d20 + caster level (at least 17 for this spell) for a range of 18 to 38 and can be higher.
If SR does not work there is a saving throw with a minimun DC of 23 "DC of 10 + the level of the spell + your bonus for the relevant ability"
10+9+4 (relevant ability has to be at least 19 which provides a +4 bonus it could be higher), even if ST made "This distracting discomfort reduces the creature’s Dexterity score by 4 points." |

The character drow is neutral evil, and disguised as an sun elf. Can the character drow ask to obtain a duphar token at a senior officer and spellguard to access to the Vault of the Sages ?
The spell resistance function against the antipathy ?
If it was my game, and I'm basing this off the lore that we know of Silverymoon both from sourcebooks and Ed, I'd say there's no way a drow would be able to ask for a token, especially to the vault. The person asking would be searched magically and physically and the disguise would probably fail. |

Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 17:06:25 Good aligned drow do enter the city, however. Here's the thing. Any and all drow are considered kill on sight in most places on the surface and so yes, good drow could enter the city but it would have to disguise itself and worry that at any moment a mob would find it if it's disguise failed and tear it apart.
As for evil drow, without a token they can't enter and again, there's the constant fear of being ripped apart by a mob. |

Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 16:41:40 In the Vault of the Sages, the Keeper give the token (regardless of alignment).
If the drow said at the senior office that comes to search informations only and if a spellguard cast a detect lies or zone of truth, could the drow character enter ?

Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 16:02:04 the antipathy effects drow so no they cant enter there isnt a chance that someone will give you a token so teh only way youd get one if u were a drow is to steal it. i dont think any drow would be allowed in silverymoon period. maybe the famous drizzt would but not really.
