Hello-

OK - long title of thread! :)

Anyway - I finally got around to *using* the FR Bibliography that I printed at some point previously from Candlekeep. (*note - its dates 8/1/05*)

I have a couple of questions:

1) I don't see any of the Al-Quadim products listed - but as I recall - they are tied to the realms - south of what is generally considered the southernmost realsm-area - beyond Chult. I ask mainly because - I do have some of these supplements - and I ran into a stoire locally that has a number of them still for sale (*!*) - apparently at the original price! They also had copies of Players Guide to Forgotten Realms, as well as the Horde Campaign and Gold and Glory.

2) Once I went through and checked the items I had - I noticed that I seem to be missing a number of the modules - and almost none of the other related supplements. The question - which probably can't be answered in generalities - is - how useful are the modules as opposed to the main supplements? Should I try to go out and get what I am missing - or would I be better off being happy with a near-full supplement assortment?

3) On p2 - last item - 'Players Guide to Faerun' and on p3 'Players guide to the Forgotten Realms' - what is the difference? I have the second one - softcover - but don't see the previous one on my bookshelf...

I do have some other specific questions - but I'll let that be it for the time being. Thanks for your input!

That bibliography is missing all the product codes, which are part of the title of the books, and the most efficient way of referring to them!

1. As a subsetting, you could argue for or against the inclusion of Al-Qadim (no u) products.

2. Some Realms modules are full of Realmslore found nowhere else; others add little outside their immediate scenario elements. The first category also includes FRE1-3, FRQ1, Hellgate Keep, The Wyrmskull Throne, etc.

3. It's a shame that neither of these books is actually a player's guide, i.e. a book with information to help players play their characters, PG2 being a story with sidebars and the 3E book mostly a set of rules updates.

Number 1: Question? Al-Quadim is a bolt-on the the Realms. I actually enjoyed the few times I played in that setting back when I use to hit some of the Cons. I do not think it was really considered a part of the Realms when it came out.

for number 2, I have found a few of the adventures quite useful for lore.

N4 Treasure Hunt: for the Korinn Archepelagio above the Moonshaes
FA1 Halls of the High King: for some Banite 'goodness'
N5 Under Illefarn: for detail on Daggerford and ancient Illefarn overview history

On 3: Players Guide to Faerun is a new 3.5 hardback (2004)

The first is a 3e supplement updating 3.0 FR material to 3.5. The second, well, you already know what it is.
