Posted - 01 Jul 2005 : 04:12:23 I know after fully reading what I am about to write more then a handful of people at Candlekeep will think that I have lost my mind, but bare with me none the less, please? A handful of you might remember that I have not been the Forgotten Realms long and in the beginning horded current Wizards of the Coast and vintage TSR Forgotten Realms related material. I currently have almost everything printed to date, with the exception of a small handful of material, but I digress. My reasoning for this was in part due to the fact that Wizards if the Coast at the time were not going to publish anymore adventure modules and that some of the book seemed incomplete from the view points of many scribes here at Candlekeep. So, I thought it best to get everything I could, but later after reading the novels and the 3rd edition gaming material I have found that it is far from lacking, though I still wish Wizards of the Coast would publish adventures again. Anyways, I have decided to part ways with my collection of 1st and 2nd edition Forgotten Realms material, but not for money. In fact I would like to give them away for free or perhaps a small trade? I thought about selling them to Noble KNight or the Dragontrove, where I purchased most of the material from, but that can be far from easy. So, has I said I would prefer to give the modules away to someone who would cherish them or see that they find their way into the hands of my fellow here at Candlekeep. All that I ask is that you pay shipping, nothing more. If your interested please e-mail me, it is listed in my profile. Please kindly title the e-mail accordingly so I will not look it over and delete it.
You would be surprised what I do and do not have, but for instance I do have all the Bloodstone modules except the first one, near mint condition and a lot of earlier Forgotten Realms material, such has Treasure Hunt and Under Illefarn and many more, the vast majority being near mint or in perfect condition. The only thing I should mention is that the material will not ship immediately, because I recently PCSed from S.Korea back to the U.S. and it will be another week before I see the goods in question. Thank you for lending me your ear, your time and patience is greatly appreciated. If anyone needs me to I can put together a quick list for those who are interested in the entire collection. I ask that those who think of asking for them only to sell them later please not inquire. I am doing this out of my love for Forgotten Realms and Dungeons & Dragons, a love all of us here at Candlekeep share.
Sincerely, Dahran

I'll second Alaundo's recommendation. I'd hold onto the items.
I agree as well, I fear you will regret your decision later on. Besides, if you posess that much lore, we know where to go if we need something looked up! |

Posted - 01 Jul 2005 : 21:22:54 Dear Dahran, I would be most grateful if You could post the exact list of the stuff that You intend to get parted with. Personally, I am very interested in Your kind offer, yet I'm not sure if You could send it to Poland where I live. Thanks in advance for Your response |

Posted - 01 Jul 2005 : 19:12:56 I have taken time before I had made up my mind that I wanted to hand over these books and materials to people who would have better use of them than I. I also think they would be greatly more appreciated has a whole, where has normally they will sit upon a shelf in a room going unread and unused. I liked them for the lore they hold, information that has yet to come to light in the current 3rd edition. The books and modules are wonderful to sit down and read and think they would serve some one better who walks the lands of Faerun more often then I. I plan on keeping my 3rd edition books and adventures, has they serve me perfectly fine at the present time has a player and occasional Dungeon Master. |
