Dargoth, Sage, any word yet on CoS:W? I'm planning to check with my RPG store at the end of the week but I haven't heard anything more re when this is hitting our shores.

-- George Krashos

The last I heard, the shipment for the Great Southern Land just recently left the US. This was several days ago though so I'm expecting another update within the next few days.

Here's wishing for you and others in Oz (the country, not the series) that the delay is less.
Thanks SB .

Now, if only I didn't have to wait so long for Farthest Reach ...

I know there was a delay of about a week between the two products in the states. Here's wishing for you and others in Oz (the country, not the series) that the delay is less.

Or they could just make sure he has a Lay over in Hawaii

Ed has been to Australia several times in the past.

We simply have to determine where and when he'll appear next, and make every effort to descend on the particular city he will visit .
Dargoth Posted - 29 May 2005 : 04:39:23
I say we badger Phil Athans or Peter Archer into sending Ed down here for another book tour

The head of the book department should get ready for emails every day....

Dargoth: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?
Sage: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?
GeorgeK: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?

Next day

Dargoth: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?
Sage: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?
GeorgeK: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?

and the day after that

Dargoth: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?
Sage: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?
GeorgeK: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?

and the day after that

Dargoth: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?
Sage: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?
GeorgeK: Can you send Ed down here for a book tour?

and so on and so forth

Hey, I'm not short!

Although the analogy is an apt one for the Realms. Ed e-mailed me once when I pointed out a 'discrepancy' in some FR writings and said:

"George, George, I don't make anything up about the
Realms: ELMINSTER does. * I * am the Great and
Powerful OZ, and provide the ice cream and drinks,
remember?
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain yadda
yadda."

I didn't know that CoS was available in the Land of Oz... .

What would the resident Wizard think?

I played a little SWG last year, but I got bored with it.

However... My character lives on! I'm using him in my on-again/off-again project of making some additional Lords of Waterdeep. I'm porting over his name, and going with the same basic tactics and mentality, just translated to D&D (instead of that nifty blaster, he's got a longbow).

Why where you bored?

Arent the missions as involved as NWN/BG games?

I was thinking of trying to become a Dark Jedi

My understanding from a friend that play, it takes a "dedicated" player (i.e. not a casual player) about a year to even try to become a Jedi, and if you miss even one piece of plot for that, you have to wait about 3 months before it appears again.

I just called my FLGS. If all goes as anticipated, I'll have this book next Friday. That's the 3rd, not the 10th.

"And so it begins..."

The race, is now on!

Such a good way to sneak in a non-Realms quote.

There is that as well. :) But I still say a partner is more of a pain. :)

To paraphrase Sienfeld

"When your single you can do what ever you want, If I want to blow a weeks worth of wages on D&D minis and Source books or play D&D all day on my saturdays every weekend then I can its my money and time. But when your in a relationship decisions have to be made, meetings have to be held!"
