Earlier today I posted this question to Erik Mona over at Enworld

"Is the new Dungeon going to feature more frequent and regular FR modules?

I hear where going to see another FR module in 113 however the last one Forest of Blood was in Dungeon 103 which will be Ten issue or a 10+ Month gap between modules

Im not asking for an FR module in every issue but I would like to see one every 2-3 issues"

Hes just responded

"I'm doing everything in my power to summon some more FR modules. Just put the finishing touches on the one for 113 this afternoon, and will try to have another within the next few issues. I'm planning for something "big" in that regard, but it's too early to discuss in public, yet.

I'm not satisfied by the number of FR modules we've had in the magazine lately. I think it's reasonable to expect one every three or four issues, but I inherited a submission pile with one FR adventure in it, so it may take us a while to collect an adequate number of adventures to match that pace."

So there you go, if you think you can write an FR module for Dungeon now might be the time to give it a shot.

Im not sure whether you need to have a certain level of experience to have a module published in Dungeon. Im sure fellow Candlekeep posters George Krasho and Eric Boyd would be able to get modules published *Starts poking George annd Eric with a stick*

or Maybe Thomas Reid could do a module set in one of the Shinning South nations or in Chondath

There is? Really?? Wow! Thanks for the news.

Pretty sure it's his first published Realms work.

No surprise Dragon doesn't want articles from George -- though when they say 'we don't want articles for a particular campaign world' they mean 'we don't want articles for a particular NAMED campaign world, just for brand new ad hoc worlds we know nothing about' -- since that's the new direction. Better luck with Erik Mona's Dungeon?

Does anyone know of any other adventures and/or sourcebooks that Jason Nelson may have worked upon? Or, is this his first FR product?

Not even an obscure one she might not know about? Or no chance as she'd know or would find out?

heh, you could always try to slip Edward, Edwin, Edgar, or Edmund (not sure which it is that Ed is short for) under her radar.

Indeed. Congratulations are certainly in order, celebrations as well... providing Realmslore is back on track forthwith

Of course, the fact that our first child is due in a matter of weeks might delay things somewhat.

Congratulations George

*chuckle*

Just tell your wife to hold it in until you finish writing the module for Dungeon!

PS If you choose to say that to her I suggest you drink multiple potions of Cats Grace so you can dodge the Vase
The Sage Posted - 22 May 2004 : 09:06:13
Oh well, that's completely understandable .

[Another new scribe...]

Congratulations to you both, George...

Do you happened to know the gender of the child by chance?
George Krashos Posted - 22 May 2004 : 09:01:08
Well, I know for a fact that Eric has 3-4 half-finished FR adventures sitting on his PC - I might have to poke him with a stick also. As for my forays into adventure writing, game mechanics are the sticking point. Given Eric Mona's interest in FR modules however, I might see what can I can come up with ... Of course, the fact that our first child is due in a matter of weeks might delay things somewhat.

Heh, "we live in interesting times..."

Seriously though, this is welcome news, let's just hope something actually becomes of it .
