I'm looking for a high-resolution version of the old Forgotten Realms logo. Could someone help me with that? |

Well, it's not so much a find as me using a quality scan PDF, print-screen the cover, and take out the logo with image editing software :) And hell yeah, the old logo gives me so many feels. So many in fact that I can't bring myself to buy Realms material that has a different Realms logo in it (fact). In that sense I'm glad the new 5th Ed adventures don't have a logo at all.
It's weird not seeing the logo on the new novels.
I don't think of it as "weird" as such... instead, I see it as discomforting. For the longest time, I took solace in seeing the FR logo on every new Realms product I purchased. It gave me comfort to think about what I might now learn about this world.
Of course, I'm not suggesting the same isn't true for the more recent logo-less Realms sources ... it's just that this emotional mental comfort is now no longer as prominent for me. |

Ah. I suspected something like that. |

I know I'm mighty late with this, but perhaps it can still be of use to someone - big logo. So big that if you size it down a little, it'll look pretty good :)

Click on that link in Chrome, and you'll then be able to right-click on the image and select "Search Google for this image". Should give a lot of hits.
I actualy found this image so XD. But now, when I searched for the second time, I found some new interesting stuff. Including a pretty high resolution image of the Portugal language version of A Grand Tour of the Realms http://www.oocities.org/fgrplanet/frealms1.jpg that contains the logo, and a pretty neat Realms icon, based on the classic logo. http://s299.photobucket.com/user/chefricochet/media/DDO/new_bullet_icons.jpg.html?t=1346359419

Yeah, people keep saying that. I took google out on a date, paid for dinner, caught a movie. But then google avoided me and never called me back.
You didn't hear it from me, but the dinner and movie date might have been a bit... tame and safe. Google is into some freaky stuff, and has seen it all with the search history to prove it, you might have dodged a bullet there.
He didn't tell us what they ate or saw. We might be surprised, yet... |
