This adventure is a continuation of Scourge of the Sword Coast and is the latest D&D Next based Encounters scenario.
Interesting note in the product info says it's a homage to the mega-dungeon crawls of old, as a delving the insidiously named Doomvault is a feature of this adventure.
Dungeonmaster.com has a preview of the print version (for game stores) of the adventure: http://dungeonsmaster.com/2014/04/dd-encounters-dead-in-thay-launch-weekend-preview/ |

lol, yeah, I know, they buried some unknown dungeon that had little to do with the surrounding territory.... but ya never know. |

Posted - 30 Apr 2014 : 01:29:09 Snagged my copy this morning. $18 bucks for 107 pages isn't bad at all. Haven't had time to read through it, so hoping it holds up to what I saw in the Scourge of the Sword Coast. The Doomvault is a pretty big dungeon.
The story behind this adventure seems to deal with Szass Tam's deathgrip on the nation of Thay. Interesting times ahead I do believe. ;) |
