Have I already said today how excited I am that three of my favourite writers/designers are involved together in developing this project?

I for one think you'll find things to appropriate into a pre-Spellplague game. It'll be easier if you're playing with the actual 4e toolset, but the vast majority of the book isn't mechanics: it's story, setting, etc.

Cheers

Okay, I totally missed that. Thanks Markus. I must have been having "one of those days" that we all have every now and then.

Still evading the bladesinger question.

Hello! Mr. de Bie, could you at least tell us which designers are presently working on the book? I'm rather interested, personally.

Yeah, that was a typo. 3q2011.

Still evading the bladesinger question.

Yea, I think Erik meant 2011. And he still evades the Bladesinger question

I'm eagerly looking forward to all of those products (the game, novels, and RPG sourcebook)!! Looks to be a great 3Q next year!

Is that 2010 a typo?
Matt James Posted - 14 Oct 2010 : 21:44:26
lol no, I was just surprised to see it when I opened it up :)

Thanks Eric for the info....

Matt...the photo copyrighted??? :)

Hey, I took that photo :)

It wasn't announced specifically at that seminar, but that book would be the Neverwinter Campaign Guide, which I believe is due out 3Q 2010. All I'll say about it is that it is indeed a print product for the Realms, details the city of Neverwinter, ties in with Bob's recent novel (and series), connects to the Neverwinter online game in development for next year, and includes (in some unspecified form, as yet) the "Bladesinger class" (whether that's a base class, a new build for swordmages, or something else remains to be seen).

I would love to say more (having written a third of it--the remainder coming from Matt Sernett and Ari Marmell), but it's all under wraps. Suffice it to say, I think it'll be awesome.

Cheers
