I noticed in the thread where you discussed getting banned that people were discussing what FR topics might make a good movie. I couldn't find a thread on this topic - does one exist? |

From the perspective of someone who played a looong time ago and who is now getting back into FR, I would love to get my hands on such a product. It is just too difficult not to have all the maps in one place!

They have ignored many such ideas offered by the fans -- some of them which would have been great sources of Realmslore and probably would have been bought by the majority of FR DMs.  |

Indeed. It doesn't happen oft, but I have nailed a couple of real bargains because of misspellings and typos. |

When searching e-bay, I recommend typing in terms such as "forgoten," "relms" or "altas" because sometimes things will hide that way. You just might find a bargain. |

Good point. I don't recall if the globe worked on my XP computer. It would be sweet to have a real globe (non-digital) of Toril (I think I made a topic about this at one time) |

Well, they can take it or leave it. I like to feel as if I am doing something that is contributing to the 4e Realms, even if the chances of it actually helping are slim.  I wish they would give us a customer feedback survey or something that would make us feel like they are listening to us. Right now I feel rather ignored. Rich answers questions, but never asks any.
Just wondering, how did you get yourself banned from the D&D forums? |

That is part of the reason I made the poll. Since I cannot make polls on the D&D forums, I make them here. I know that some of the WotC staff frequents here, so if they see a poll like this with good results, maybe they will realize what we (the true and hardcore Realms fans) really want instead of what they think we want.
I hate to burst your bubble, but... Online polls and petitions and such aren't regarded all that seriously. And before I was banned from the WotC forums, I once suggested that WotC take a poll about what we wanted on the website. A WotC staffer was quick to tell me they weren't interested in doing that -- they only looked at the page hits. If they don't want our opinion on something that is relatively cheap for them to produce and publish, then they certainly aren't interested in our opinion on more expensive products -- especially a newer version of what they obviously considered a failed product. |

Seeing comments like this makes me so happy I jumped on it when I had the chance. 
Honestly, I think the original high price is part of what killed it. It was simply too early to ask for that kind of money for non-vital software. We were just getting into the era of having a computer in every home when they came out with both programs. I was just getting used to Win98, myself, when I got both programs... They were asking $50 for a program with rather limited applications, when people were just starting to get into computers and AOL was still kinda cool. They basically jumped the gun. Had they waited until around 2002 or so, the sales of those programs would have been dramatically better. Or so thinks I. |

I'm still put out that I was stupid and did not spend the $50 on it when it was out, because now it is hard to find and way too expensive when I do find a copy. So, in response to my own question, I would love to buy a new FR Interactive Atlas. |

I would buy it as soon as it came out.
I got lucky, myself. I bought the existing Interactive Atlas for half-price, when TSR's Mail Order Hobby Shop was basically dumping the CDs that remained in stock. And though the box and instructions were destroyed in the fire (ditto for the box and instructions for the Dragon Magazine Archive), I had the CD in the CD tower next to my monitor. So I was lucky with buying the programs (it's the same story on the Archive), and I was lucky with keeping the CDs. |

No. I can definitely see the use for an interactive atlas, but because of the map changes one in 3ed, I will keep to my old Fonstad atlas. |
