wow, flashback to the rite of acceptance to the blandsingers, sweet! and reference to fflar and the fall of myth drannor really won me over with this book, fflar is such a cool character and i love learning more about him outside of the last mythal trilogy. the flashback chapters have been most enjoyable and placed very well within the story.

I quite liked how it described Taen having to use necromancy and how it made him feel afterwards.

The wraiths were particularly nasty too and reminded me of the ringwraiths from Lord of the Rings.

I was open-mouthed when Borovazk was stabbed through the body with a wraiths arm Nooooooo

The meeting with the wyshlaran was quite eerie.... those masks give me the creeps, especially with all the different expressions too

Their power really came across too and showed how they had a hold over Selov. Najra was so disrespectful to him, she made me angry

Looks like i'm first into this section to comment. Hopefully it doesn't mean that these chapters are uneventful

I've only read chapter 10 so far, but thought it was very well done and completely pulled me in. I loved the coverage of the elves and the Rite of Acceptance for Bladesingers. A nice feeling throughout and showed the elves very well.

Nice how they still can't accept what happened in Myth Drannor when humans were allowed in. I don't think that deep-rooted hatred will ever disappear.

BTW, where\what is Avaelearean?

Faelyn was great, and the conflict between him and Taen's father (can't recall his name right now) was very well done. I liked how his father hid the problem from Taen too.

Thoroughly enjoying this novel so far! Great job Keith!
