Based on the past content of "Fiendonomicon" articles in DRAGON, I'm more than a little intrigued by what Jacobs will come up with for this.

Erik Mona mentioned on ENworld that the book is labeled "Vol I." Vol II will probably be on the Nine Hells. And Erik has mentioned elsewhere that Ed's articles on the Hells are near of the TOP of his favorite D&D stuff. So I would expect a lot of those NPC's to be officially converted by WOTC for 3.x
The Tome of Horrors from Necromancer Games has 3.o stats for most of the NPC's from Ed's articles.

I wonder what the chances are that Ed would get to do the Fiendish Codex for Devils? He did after all write all those 9 Hells articles in Dragon..... |

Eric Boyd suggested on Paizo's site that one of the Demonomicon articles should have a list off all the know abyssal layers, its ruler, and commonly stated name. I think that would be interesting to see, thought the Realmsian version would be slightly different (Level 66 for example). |

They're the "Demonomicon" articles... CFB's got it right  .

It's probably based on all the Demonomicon articles that have been appearing recently in the magazine. They just did like 3 of the Demon Lords and usually have one every two months or so. They may just be detailing all the old Demon Lords for 3rd edition... not the major ones, but people like Kostochie or Faz-urb'luu (they did him in a recent Dragon).

Interesting! Tell me, Sage, what are these particular articles? I assume they contain more than merely fiend statistics? I don't recall ever seeing such within Dragon
Regardless, this is certainly a tome in which i'll be interested in. From the title, it looks like (sales figures permitting, of course), that we will see subsequent volumes covering fiends from other planes |
