The thing about this program that both rankled me and amused me as well was the way that humans were presented as evil, mean, short sighted creatures that killed off dragons, and we are told this after they mention how the dragons are starting to fly into human territories to eat their cattle . . .

Given that this whole program is being presented as scientific, why are humans so short sighted for trying to protect their food supply . . . the original shortage of dragons didn't even come from mean humans hunting them, but from the scarcity of platinum and the fact that the male dragons are sabotaging the eggs to eliminate rivals.

I agree with Sirius I watched this program and I was about ready to throw a boot at the TV that was so ...they tried to use science to explain my magic and I felt really let down.

So much for furthuring imagination lets just give a scientific explination for all this .

It put me in my dark place.

Never said he was or used that term.

I don't like that term or those that bandy it about as some ultimate insult to those that don't think or play the way you think they should..On to the dragons.

Platinum? Oh yeah that just lying around all over the place.
It doesn't even make sense for dragon to have evolved a need for a mineral that isn't even a part of their normal diet to fuel a system that supposedly evolved to take advantage of a mineral that served no purpose other than to fuel the process that supposedly evolved to take advantage of mineral that it wouldn't even have in it's system except to fuel the fire that supposedly evolved to take advantage of it's pressence in it's system.(This may or may not have made more sense the first time I typed it as I accidently pusged reset field).

Ok they couldn't whip out a collosal red dragon and maintained suppension of disbelief but they went too far in the other direction. In an effort to make them believable they made them lame, little more than giant turkeys that cough flames on occasion. They were too small, too timid, and way too easy to kill.
In my opinion.

I didn't like dragons having to find platinum to create their fire. all the forms were too small and drab...

Yeah, we needed to see more killer dragons with moonblade scimitars in each claw.

I was surprised to see that my own theories on dragons were held up. Especially the breath weapon explanation.

And was REALLY happy that they had four-footed dragons, not just a bunch of wyverns!

Yep, I was quite pleased as were the two other gamers who watched with me. Plus, besides the show's "facts" on how dragons could have existed, we got lore via the stories about individual dragons. See WOTC, it can be done.

I've been looking at the previews online. I am very interested and would love to watch the video. They don't have to convince me though I already believe dragons are real
