Mainly because I was curious (and I had a spare few gold pieces), I picked up this tome.

I haven't had a chance to read through it completely yet, but if you're curious as well, or simply looking for answers in regards to the tome's content... I'm willing to help.

Well met, Sage!
I want to know how much do you like of this tome? It´s at sale at a very afordable value here, and I´m thinking in the possibility of buy it, only to a change of pace
On a side note, various Dragon issues are at sale too, for less than 2 dollars!!!

Chosen of Moradin, having a very happy morning

Well, Sage, one question - is it less convoluted than D20 Future? I am a Urban Arcana player and that system was tweaky enough, then d20 future went nuts. Is d20 past a little easier to understand?

C-Fb

I wouldn't say it's less convoluted (but then I didn't have much difficulty with d20 Future), but the rules are more flexible, and easier to integrate into a Modern or Urban Arcana campaign.

As it is, I've found some limited use for the various feats and "optional" rules presented in d20 Past with my FR campaign -- so that should at least provide you with some idea about how the rule set works.

Thanks, Sage, I appreciate the input.

It's not that I found d20 Future hard to understand, I just didn't think the investment of time reading and understanding it was worth it. I'd rather pour over stuff I could possibly use for my Urban Arcana game.

Thanks for the input, though. I'll have to go pick this book up!

For those interested, there is now an annotated bibliography available for this product.

I suppose that all depends on how closely you run your Realms campaigns to the tones and atmosphere of specific medieval culture, which this tome seems to indicate will form the basis of most of the material.

Sage, are there any components that would be useful in the Realms? Do they give any advice for advancing a current setting to adapt to d20 Past (The Forgotten Realms, for instance)?
Just from the Table of Contents, it looks like I will have to take a gander at this one.

I can't say it's something I'm likely to buy, lack of funds for one reason, but that sounds quite intriguing.
