I just bought a copy of MM 3 the other day, and it is well worth the $32 US that I paid for it. In addition to a whole slew of new creatures, it also tells you exactly where in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting to look for the monsters. There are dragons, elementals, and new plant-monsters(for the druids). Also, the illustrations are really first-rate.

If you aren't ready to buy a new book right now, then head on over to the WOTC website and download the MM3 screen saver for windows. It will show you what some of the new monsters look like for free.

I am now really tempted to go make myself very pore for that book.
