Posted - 27 Dec 2010 : 16:03:41 I designed a sourcebook for the folks over at Kobold Quarterly. It should be for sale in the next couple of weeks. You can check out the product page here.
Basically I took a ton of real-world experience and adapted it to the world of Midgard (Kobold Quarterly's campaign setting). It was great because I love world-building, and I got to do a ton of that in this book in regards to military lore! Expanding lore is one of my favorite things to do ;)
Anyways, even if you don't play 4e, you will find that a good majority of this book can be used in any system. Let me know if you end up getting it and have questions or comments. |

I should probably ask this in PM, but what the heck - I take it your not 'in-house' with WotC, Matt? I thought you were.
And congratulations on your own sourcebook - that's a pretty big leap from the DDi - well down. |

Posted - 28 Dec 2010 : 07:14:08 I agree Wooly. When I get my KQ mag in the mail, it reminds me what I miss most about Dragon magazine. |

I'd (strangely) never heard of KQ, though their Shadow Fey stuff looks interesting to me.
Kobold Quarterly rather reminds me of some of the really early issues of Dragon. Not quite hitting their stride, yet, but showing a lot of potential. |
