Posted - 23 Apr 2003 : 06:47:57 Greetings and Salutations Residents of Candlekeep!
I'm "new" here, at least to the forums. I have enjoyed the site proper for a quite a while now and figured I'd start associating with others on the forums. I am something of a Realms nut, and a particular fan of Waterdeep and the North (unoriginality is one of my specialties) and the pre-Netheril period (Yeah, I love Elves too). So, in short if anything crazy happens, it's likely my doing. |

Posted - 25 Apr 2003 : 03:43:15 I cannot believe anyone could forget wood elves!!! Whenever you want a great party, bring a wood elf...or maybe it was just that one wood elf, but either way there is a eighteen hours period about three centuries ago I will never be able to remember. Now, those were the days. |

I said green . . . . [scratches head] Did I forget a difference between worlds? Are green and wood not the same?
Besides, I did say "many others" . . . . |

Slainte agat, Edain. Welcome to Candlekeep.
I believe you'll find several elves here -- drow, moon, gold, and green. Even some half-elves. And many others. Don't be surprised to see the unusual specimen wandering these halls.

Please excuse my lateness in replying to your post, but I have some vistors in my humble tree house and they don't let me rest very often. I am glad to hear that you have found the Inn and making new friends. I hope you will continue to frequent the Inn as well as the other places in the library. As for the PbeM, it is a wonderful experience and I believe a lot of the scribes and sages post when they will be starting one here. So, the next time they post a new adventure, you should try it out. Again, welcome to Candlekeep!
Honor to all, Avaly Nightstar |

Posted - 25 Apr 2003 : 02:25:18 Wow. Impressive. Let's see how many more one word sentences I can do, huh?
Seriously, very cool. I have, in the past, found that RP really makes the difference...that's why I tend to be picky about my groups...<trails off> |

Mumadar Ibn Huzal is the man to see about them. He runs two different settings, the Twilight Dawn and Silver Marches games.
Yes Mumadar is always busy, and he is currently away until Monday the 27th. I venture to say he will have a bit of reading to do when he returns. (one of my posts is about 3 pages...
However I have to say PBeM is the deepest RP experience I have ever had. With so much time to explore your choices and words, it allows you to truly consider what your character would do in a situation without feeling pressured.
I have written a lot on Tarim and his family so far and intend to do much more. I think he is probably my favorite character I have ever created(after Nighteyes of course). |

Actually, I don't know. It hasn't started -- Mumadar hasn't gotten back to me on it. That's why I haven't posted my profile of young Kevin Janis the half-elven wizard yet. I don't know exactly what is accepted or not about him. But I don't mind -- it sounded like he's busy. |

Posted - 24 Apr 2003 : 13:06:58 Greetings to you, Edain Shadowstar.
Permit me to introduce myself - I am the Sage of Perth, a slightly crazed master of Realms lore. I hail from an ancient city of Elves called Perth, that was once located deep within the High Forest.
Perth and all it's former glory were lost, a victim of one elven Archmage whose greed for power doomed an entire city. After Perth's fall I wandered the Realms, learning, teaching, and collecting knowledge.
Then last year, I made the journey to Candlekeep - that great refuge of knowledge, and my new home.
I hope that enjoy your time here within these great walls, as our insight into the Realms is enchanced by your presence.
Good Learning...

Mithril Dragons?
<Scratches his chin.>
I am unfamiliar with that breed of dragon. I am guessing it's a metallic variety...which means I do not have to run from it screaming like a banshee, but I still does not ring a bell
